JOB TITLE:  Host/Cashier - September 23rd Hiring Event

 

GAMING LICENSE REQUIRED:  Class III B
GRADE:  4 / $11.513
STATUS:  Hourly
POSITION REPORTS TO:  F&B Supervisor

 

JOB SUMMARY:  Welcomes and collects revenue by greeting and seating guests, taking food orders as needed, issuing charges and collecting payments.

Responsibilities:

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    The statements describe the general nature and level of work only.  They are not an exhaustive list of all required responsibilities, duties, and skills.  Other duties may be added, or this description amended at any time.

  1. Greets and seats customers.
  2. Ensures Host / Cashier work areas are kept clean, stocked and presentable at all times.
  3. Cleans menus and busses tables as needed.
  4. Reconciliation of Casino issued bank, following all policies and procedures applicable.
  5. Reconciliation of daily ‘end of shift’ financial transactions.
  6. May take food orders, and prepares and presents food items to guests as needed (to go only).
  7. Handling of all payment transactions where applicable and handling of cash.
  8. Assists in maintaining and ensuring proper food quality (to go only).
  9. Monitors inventory levels and notifies supervisor on replenishment needs.
  10. Provides excellent customer service by providing a positive guest experience.
  11. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS (required/preferred):

  • Must have and maintain a valid WA State health card/food handlers permit.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING FOR POSITION (required/preferred):

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of six (6) months restaurant experience preferred.

SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  • Ability to make correct change and calculate daily receipts, per proper operating procedures.
  • Must be able to follow specific instructions.
  • Ability to handle stress under pressure.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain a clean, healthy and safe working environment.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.

  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Some essential functions of the job will be performed within a smoking environment.
  • Monitored by surveillance cameras.
