JOB TITLE:  Lead Valet Parking Attendant


GRADE:  $12.361 per hour
STATUS:  Hourly
POSITION REPORTS TO:  Transportation and Claims Coordinator


JOB SUMMARY:  The Lead Valet Parking Attendant is to provide the highest standard of customer service, while also performing in the capacity as a lead on a shift basis. The primary purpose of this position is to assist customers, park their vehicle, and be a visible representative of Muckleshoot Casino. Provide guidance to the team as necessary, promote positive employee relations, and sets the example for the department.


MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    The statements describe the general nature and level of work only.  They are not an exhaustive list of all required responsibilities, duties, and skills.  Other duties may be added, or this description amended at any time.

  1. Practice, support and promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Muckleshoot Casino
  2. Greet visitors and maintain a professional image.
  3. Instruct new hires and employees on the expectations and responsibilities.
  4. Open doors of arriving guests and greet them with the proper salutation.
  5. Assisting elderly and disabled guests as needed.
  6. Park and retrieve guests’ vehicles in a timely manner ensuring the utmost in vehicle safety.
  7. Write a legible claim check, noting any prior damage to the vehicle on the ticket.
  8. Ensure security of vehicles and its keys.
  9. Give accurate directions to guests when necessary.
  10. May assign job tasks as necessary to Valet Parking Attendants.
  11. Promote a safe and healthy work environment by reporting work hazards and accidents immediately to Management.
  12. Under the guidance of management and security may recommend alternative transportation solutions to quests that appear to be intoxicated, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  13. Maintain a positive attitude in extreme weather conditions of cold or very hot temperatures.
  14. Create, maintain and facilitate a positive work environment
  15. Smile and engage Guests and Team Members with a positive professional demeanor.
  16. Performs other tasks/duties as assigned.


LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS (required/preferred):

  • A valid Washington State Driver’s license with clean MVR required.


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2-years driving experience required.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.


  • Ability to maintain a clean driving record during the course of employment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a “guest first” mentality.
  • Ability to drive all cars in a safe manner and adhere to traffic laws and driving regulations.
  • Knowledge in operating all types of passenger vehicles with standard or automatic transmission.
  • Ability to learn and adhere to policies and procedures, respectful work environment, and performance. 
  • Must have the ability to document incidents and write up reports in an accurate and legible manner.
  • Ability to respond and resolve guest complaints in a manner compliant with Muckleshoot Casino standards and image.
  • Ability to interact with diverse individuals and function as a member of the team.
  • Ability to identify intoxicated quests.
  • Must be able to work various shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to provide coaching, training and encouragement for the staff.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  The physical requirements described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.

  • Position requires considerable walking and working on feet to complete assigned shifts.
  • Ability to hear, talk with clear speech, and use finger dexterity for routine paperwork.
  • The ability to stand and work on feet for 8 hours or longer per shift.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May need to lift up to seventy-five pounds (75 lbs.), occasionally higher with assistance.
  • Neat, clean and professional appearance required at all times.


  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Essential functions of the job will be performed outside with exposure to inclement weather and extreme temperature changes.
  • Monitored by surveillance cameras.
