    SYSTEM TITLE: Sr. Marketing Database Analyst

    POSITION REPORTS TO: Manager of Casino Marketing Analytics



    Perform analysis to facilitate effective and resource-efficient Casino Marketing services and programs, provide strategic decision-making support to Casino Marketing and Department leaders, and create an unbiased and consistent view of the performance of Casino Marketing teams and the effect of player-targeted initiatives.


    1. Practice, support and promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Muckleshoot Casino.
    2. Conduct ad-hoc analysis for segmented Casino Guests.
    3. Synthesize large amounts of data into actionable recommendations and presentations for management review.
    4. Communicate analyses, findings, conclusions, and recommendations to all relevant business partners, and actively assist in the implementation of accepted recommendations.
    5. Participate in operating reviews with senior leadership and create analyses/presentations that influence decision-making across all levels of the organization.
    6. Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
    7. Allocate resources and prioritize projects to balance the support of broad initiatives, recurrent reporting, and proactive analysis.
    8. Evaluate the potential impact, ease of implementation of projects, and effectively manage expectations with respect to prioritization and timelines.  
    9. Work as a change agent to improve and streamline department operations, through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes and program effectiveness and value.
    10. Coordinate on the development of approaches, templates and tools that ensure a consistent approach in all casino marketing reporting.
    11. Work with the data logistics group to ensure maximum efficiency in the report creation process and automation where possible.
    12. Communicate conclusions, implications and recommendations of analyses in a clear, concise fashion to support effective decisions.
    13. Identify opportunities for testing initiatives; construct test strategies, evaluate test results and give actionable recommendations for change.
    14. Create and distribute recurring reports that evaluate marketing program effectiveness and leverage BI tools.
    15. Create, facilitate and maintain a positive work environment.
    16. Smile and engage team members and guests with a professional demeanor.
    17. Perform other duties as assigned.



    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following areas or in an equivalent technical field: Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics. Statistics,
    • Four (4) years database analytics experience. Casino/Gaming industry experience preferred.
    • Advanced SQL query writing.
    • Advanced Excel skill and knowledge required.


    ONSITE TEST REQUIRED:  All tests administered in person at the Human Resources’ Office. Required testing must be completed by or before posting close date.

    • Advanced technical aptitude in one or more of the following programming languages: SQL, R, VBS, SAS, Python.
    • Proficient use of web-based visualization tools.
    • Demonstrate success working with large data sets/databases, developing tools for streamlined analysis and creating reports that succinctly summarize complex concepts.
    • Demonstrate strong analytical skills including, but not exclusive to, data aggregation/manipulation, statistical analysis, forecasting, optimization, etc.
    • Proven ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment, regularly exceed service level agreement requirements, and provide excellent internal guest service.
    • Proven ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously at various stages of development.
    • Demonstrate strong leadership skills including project management, time management, coaching, and innovation.
    • Demonstrate strength in written and verbal communication, adjusting message to audience and succinctly summarizing complex concepts.
    • Read, write and speak English fluently.

    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
    • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. occasionally.



    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • Some essential functions of the job performed within a smoking environment.
