GRADE:  6 / $13.849
STATUS:  Hourly
SYSTEM TITLE:  Players Club Attendant
POSITION REPORTS TO:  Players Club Supervisor

 

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible for greeting all guests in a pleasant and enthusiastic manner, promoting the benefits of the MIC Players Club.  Completes registration for Players Club cards and provides guests with redemption rewards.

Responsibilities

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    The statements describe the general nature and level of work only.  They are not an exhaustive list of all required responsibilities, duties, and skills.  Other duties may be added, or this description amended at any time.

  1. Provides a high level of guest service by greeting all guests individually and pleasantly with a positive, pleasant and cheerful demeanor.
  2. Responsible for enrolling new guests in the Players Club.
  3. Maintains customer information for both new and current Players Club members, assuring the highest standards of data entry into the Players Club database.
  4. Prints new and duplicate Players Club cards as requested.
  5. Promotes the value and benefits of the Players Club card by providing information to guests regarding marketing programs, redemptions, as well as current and upcoming special events and/or promotions.
  6. Prints vouchers for Players Club coupon redemptions.
  7. Completes all paperwork in accordance with MIC internal controls and departmental policies and procedures.
  8. Maintains a working knowledge of the casino facilities, including, but not limited to, operation/location of gaming activities and/or location of restaurant outlets.
  9. Stays informed of all Muckleshoot venues, including location, contact information, and promotions/special events.
  10. Assists Players Club member(s) with hotel reservations and point redemptions for Salish Lodge and Best Western hotels.
  11. Maintains the cleanliness of the Players Club, ensuring the booth is properly stocked.
  12. Takes pictures and completes paper work for jackpot winners as needed.
  13. Makes announcements utilizing public address (PA) system as needed.
  14. Monitors Players Club embosser, copier and Boca printer and keeps them stocked and operational.
  15. Changes television channels per established sports schedules and/or requests from the casino floor.
  16. May assist in training new Players Club Attendants.
  17. Assists with casino promotions and entertainment.
  18. Assists with organizing and implementing special events.
  19. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING FOR POSITION (required/preferred):

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year customer service experience required.
  • One (1) year of gaming industry experience preferred.

ONSITE TEST REQUIRED:  All tests are distributed in person at the Human Resources’ Office

  • Typing/keyboarding test required.

SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

  • Excellent customer relations and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Must have an upbeat and positive personality and be able to maintain a positive attitude throughout an entire shift while being able to receive and accept direction and/or instruction in a positive and cooperative manner.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to become proficient in computer applications used in the Players Club.
  • Ability to type/keyboard 30+wpm.
  • Ability to operate modern office equipment.
  • Must be available to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays to meet attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies in addition to working with and maintaining confidential materials required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  The physical requirements described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk; reach with hands and arms; balance, stoop, and crouch; push/pull; talk and hear.
  • Manual finger dexterity for operation of a personal computer and routine paperwork.
  • Must be able to lift up to forty pounds (40 lbs.), multiple times a day.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Essential functions of the job will be performed within a smoking environment.
  • Monitored by surveillance cameras.
