    JOB TITLE:  Gaming Service Worker

     

    GAMING LICENSE REQUIRED:  Class III A

    GRADE:  8 / $16.251

    STATUS:  Hourly

    POSITION REPORTS TO:   VGD Tech Supervisor

    JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible for providing technical maintenance of all VGD, and related equipment, located on the gaming floor to ensure functionality in compliance with Gaming, Casino, and departmental policies and procedures and rules and regulations.

    Responsibilities

     

    1. MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   The statements describe the general nature and level of work only.  They are not an exhaustive list of all required responsibilities, duties, and skills.  Other duties may be added, or this description amended at any time.

      1. Responsible for vacuuming, wiping out, and removal of      rubbish from the inside of machines.
      2. Clean and test card readers.
      3. Clean and calibrate bill acceptors.
      4. Clean and test buttons and lights.
      5. Clean and test printers.
      6. Clean and test all locking mechanisms on floor equipment      or gaming devices.
      7. Replace machine lighting as needed.
      8. Assist drop team with door locks and bill acceptor      problems.
      9. Document work in maintenance tracking website.
      10. Open service issues for machines/components that fail      testing or are in need of repair.
      11. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING FOR POSITION (required/preferred):

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

     

    SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

    • Read, write and speak English fluently.
    • Demonstrate willingness and ability to gain      mechanical aptitude, knowledge and skills for electronic games.
    • Ability to read and understand all safety      labeling and cautions on equipment, chemicals and supplies.
    • Ability to learn and comprehend job      assignments, policies, safety precautions, and instructions. 
    • Ability to work with tools or equipment,      screwdriver, scissors, keys, etc.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  The physical requirements described herein are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.

    • Ability to stand and      walk for long periods of time. 
    • Ability to lift and      carry up to fifty pounds (50 lbs.) frequently throughout the shift. 
    • Ability to reach and      use frequent and repetitive arm movements while performing assigned      duties. 
    • Ability to bend,      stoop, kneel, or to physically maneuver throughout the Casino and in      assigned work area(s) in order to complete major tasks and      responsibilities. 
    • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
    • Able to work with      cleaning chemicals (poured and sprayed).      
    • Ability to maneuver      from floor to floor, either by stairway or elevator.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • The noise level in the      work environment is usually moderate.
    • Some essential      functions of the job will be performed within a smoking environment.
    • Monitored by      surveillance cameras.
    • Use of portable radio      or cellular telephone to be in constant contact with department.
