    JOB TITLE:  Poker Dealer - Variable Part Time 

     

    GAMING LICENSE REQUIRED:  Class III A
    GRADE:  $11.500
    STATUS:  Hourly
    POSITION REPORTS TO:  Poker Floor Supervisor

     

    JOB SUMMARY: Deals and controls the game of poker.  Ensures that game is dealt and collections taken in accordance with policies and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    The statements describe the general nature and level of work only.  They are not an exhaustive list of all required responsibilities, duties, and skills.  Other duties may be added, or this description amended at any time.

    1. Practice, support and promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Muckleshoot Casino
    2. Conducts game of poker, according to departmental procedures.
    3. Responsible for maintaining poker table bank.
    4. Collects house revenue.
    5. Controls pace of the game.
    6. Notifies Floor Supervisor of any irregularities noted in customer play or other transactions during shift.
    7. Promotes positive customer relations.
    8. Create, maintain and facilitate a positive work environment
    9. Smile and engage Guests and Team Members with a positive professional demeanor.
    10. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING FOR POSITION (required/preferred):

    • Satisfactory completion of dealer's training school or Muckleshoot Indian Casino-approved equivalent required. 
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent recommended.
    • Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Poker Dealer preferred.

    SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Basic math skills.
    • Ability to follow direction and implement tasks given.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  The physical requirements described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.

    • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
    • Manual and finger dexterity.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
    • Ability to reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • Essential functions of the job will be performed within a smoking environment.
    • Monitored by surveillance cameras.
