    JOB TITLE:  Promotions Coordinator

    GAMING LICENSE REQUIRED:  Class III B

    GRADE:  8 / 16.251

    STATUS: Hourly

    SYSTEM TITLE:  Promotions Coordinator

    POSITION REPORTS TO:  Promotions and Special Events Manager

    JOB SUMMARY: Provide marketing support for onsite and offsite events, implement and supervise casino oriented promotions, special event programs, tournament activities, and theme parties. This position ensures the confidentiality, security and accuracy of guest’s records, and promote positive guest and team member relations. Must be available to work flexible shift schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Responsibilities

    MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    The statements describe the general nature and level of work only.  They are not an exhaustive list of all required responsibilities, duties, and skills.  Other duties may be added, or this description amended at any time.

    1. Practice, support and promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Muckleshoot Casino.
    2. Coordinate, facilitate and assist with execution of all Marketing events and promotions.
    3. Coordinate and assists with Receiving and Return to Vendor process of Marketing inventory with Receiving.
    4. Maintain and track inventory of all Marketing inventory items to include storage location and quantity available.
    5. Assist and coordinate with donations of Marketing inventory.
    6. Complete daily checklist of assigned responsibilities and other job related duties assigned.
    7. Represent the Marketing Department and Players Club on casino floor by answering guest questions.
    8. Assist other departments with player redemptions and makes promotional announcements as necessary.
    9. Make sure all collateral on casino floor is accurate and current.
    10. Answer questions about the Casino and Players Club.
    11. Provide a high level of guest service by greeting all guests individually and pleasantly with a positive, pleasant and cheerful demeanor.
    12. Responsible for enrolling new guests in the Players Club.
    13. Maintain guest information for both new and current Players Club members, assuring the highest standards of data entry into the Players Club database.
    14. Print new and duplicate Players Club cards as requested.
    15. Promote the value and benefits of the Players Club card by providing information to guests regarding marketing programs, redemptions, as well as current and upcoming special events and/or promotions.
    16. Print vouchers for Players Club coupon redemptions.
    17. Complete all paperwork in accordance with MIC internal controls and departmental policies and procedures.
    18. Maintain a working knowledge of the casino facilities, including, but not limited to, operation/location of gaming
    19. Promote positive guest relations in person, by phone and via correspondence, invitations, and direct mailings.
    20. Advise management of project tasks and assignments.
    21. Assist with negotiating, purchasing and maintaining promotional inventory.
    22. Create, facilitate and maintain a positive work environment.
    23. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING FOR POSITION (required/preferred):

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
    • Two (2) years casino promotions experience required or similar experience in entertainment/hospitality field.
    • Computer application proficiency required.
    • Manual pallet mover and hand truck experience required.
    • Public speaking experience preferred.
    • Forklift Certification preferred.

    ON-SITE TEST REQUIRED:

     

    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Typing/Keyboard
    • 10-key

    SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

     

    • Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
    • Demonstrate proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
    • Demonstrate strong guest service and team member relations skills.
    • Demonstrate Proven organizational and time management skills and handle working on multiple tasks at the same time with speed, efficiency and attention to detail.
    • Demonstrate ability to operate manual and electric pallet jack efficiently.
    • Valid Washington State Driver’s License
    • Demonstrate ability to generate results in high-stress and difficult situations.
    • Exhibit outgoing, friendly and helpful demeanor to guests and other team members.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  The physical requirements described herein are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.

    • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
    • Frequently required to stand, sit, bend, climb stairs, reach with hands, arms and body, couch, kneel, or squat intermittently for eight (8) hours or longer per shift.
    • Manual and finger dexterity needed for the operation of personal computers and routine paperwork.
    • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
    • Frequently required to lift or move seventy-five pounds (75 lbs). occasionally higher with or without assistance,

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • Some essential functions of the job performed within a smoking environment and outdoor elements.
    • Monitored by surveillance cameras.
