    JOB TITLE:  Drop and Count Clerk

     

    GAMING LICENSE REQUIRED:  Class III A
    GRADE:  8 / $16.251
    STATUS:  Hourly
    POSITION REPORTS TO:  Compliance Manager

     

    JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible for the secure collection and/or count of drop boxes in accordance with department policies and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    The statements describe the general nature and level of work only.  They are not an exhaustive list of all required responsibilities, duties, and skillsOther duties may be added, or this description amended at any time.

    1. Practice, support and promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Muckleshoot Casino
    2. Performs the secure collection and accurate recording of drop boxes.
    3. Carries out protected delivery of drop box contents to soft count.
    4. Opens and empties contents of the drop boxes.
    5. Sorts and counts chips and currency contained in drop boxes.
    6. Verifies and straps currency.
    7. Inputs count data into computer system.
    8. Completes reconciliations between amounts posted and amounts counted.
    9. Prepares cash and chips for transfer to Cage.
    10. Provides positive interactions with customers and employees and maintains a safe and friendly environment.
    11. Works with and maintains confidential information.
    12. Create, maintain and facitlitate a positive work environment
    13. Smile and engage Guest and Team Members with a positive professional demeanor
    14. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING FOR POSITION (required/preferred):

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
    • Minimum of six (6) months cash handling experience required.
    • Computer experience preferred.
    • Ten-key experience preferred.

    ONSITE TEST REQUIRED:  All tests are distributed in person at the Human Resources’ office

    • Must pass a math test

    SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

    • Ability to work in a confined area and closely with others.
    • Ability to comprehend and follow detailed procedures and instructions.
    • Ability to maintain and record adequate information during course of shift.
    • Basic math skills.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Ability to maintain a consistent, prompt, and regular attendance record and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  The physical requirements described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.

    • Position requires considerable walking and working on feet to complete assigned shifts.
    • Must be able to stand for 8 hours or more per shift.
    • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms; manual and finger dexterity; talk and hear; push/pull; bend, stoop, and crouch.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
    • Must be able to lift at least thirty pounds (30 lbs.), occasionally higher with assistance.
    • Neat, clean, and professional appearance required at all times.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • Some essential functions of the job will be performed within a smoking environment.
    • Monitored by surveillance cameras.
