    JOB TITLE: Tribal Development Program Coordinator


    GRADE: 10 / 19.079

    STATUS: Hourly


    POSITION REPORTS TO: Tribal Development Program Manager / Sr. TDP Specialist


    Responsible for providing high-level support for the TDP staff and Participants. The TDP Coordinator provides seamless operational support for day to day department functions, including, but not limited to: communications; material management and procurement; basic applicant in-take, event coordination and other department support duties.


    MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  The statements describe the general nature and level of work only. They are not an exhaustive list of all required responsibilities, duties, and skills. Other duties may be added, or this description amended at any time.

    1. Create, maintain and facilitate the Mission, Vision and Values of Muckleshoot Casino.
    2. Serve as administrative support to the Tribal Development Manager and staff.
    3. Answer inquiries regarding the Tribal Development Program and assist potential Participants with application process.
    4. Prepares letters and reports as requested.
    5. Answer and appropriately field all incoming calls to the TDP office.
    6. Prepare materials, schedules and locations for Workplace Skills workshops and TDP training classes and events.
    7. Maintain TDP SharePoint site, ensuring updated information.
    8. Schedule appointments for TDP staff.
    9. Maintain staff schedules, applying leave and attendance processes through established policy.
    10. Assist and work on specific projects under the direction of the Tribal Development Manager.
    11. Maintain departmental procedural manual for assigned area.
    12. Reconciles monthly budget.
    13. Perform specialized and technical clerical work with speed and accuracy.
    14. Maintain an efficient filing system as required.
    15. Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all information in accordance with Human Resources Policies, Practices and Procedures, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
    16. Assist in planning and organizing training programs.  Scope of these responsibilities include: preparing training materials and aids; contacting department managers, supervisors and team members; scheduling training rooms, stocking, inventory and the physical set-up and tear down of classrooms; preparing classroom rosters, attendance reports.
    17. Prepare and maintain TDP library.
    18. Create, maintain and facilitate a positive work environment.
    19. Smile and engage guests and team members with a positive professional demeanor.
    20. Perform other job-related duties as assigned


    TESTING REQUIRED: All tests distributed in person at the Human Resource Office. Testing must be completed by or before posting close date.

    • Keyboard/Typing (45 wpm)
    • TDP Coordinator knowledge and skills with MS Office Suite


    ADDITIONAL TESTING REQUIRED: Performance interview and additional testing for applicants passing initial interview process.



    • High School Diploma or GED required. College degree or formal computer/office management training preferred.
    • Two (2) years successful HR related admin support experience using procurement software, Time & Attendance software, database software and HRIS in a high volume and fast paced office environment required.



    • Efficiently handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure environment with speed and accuracy.
    • Demonstrate ability to work with, maintain, and protect confidential materials and information.
    • Demonstrate the ability to work with and maintain confidential materials and information.
    • Exhibit strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and competence in knowledge of correct business English and business protocol including grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, and basic arithmetic skills. Read, write and speak English fluently.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications and procurement software.
    • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of correct business English and business protocol including grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, and intermediate mathematical and analysis skills required.
    • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge, skill and understanding, of career development tools and assessments.
    • Tribal gaming experience and/or experience with Tribal culture, protocols and customs preferred.

    • Regularly required to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time; climb stairs; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, squat, climb stairs or crouch, twist, and talk or hear.
    • Regularly required to use manual dexterity for operation of personal computer, telephone, advanced office equipment and routine tasks.
    • Regularly required to lift up to thirty pounds (30 lbs.), occasionally more, with or without assistance.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.


    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • Some essential functions of the job performed within a smoking environment.
